My goal: to guide and support you to develop your full potential and assist you in recalibrating your emotions and harmonizing your energy with a goal of reaching the ultimate well-being you deserve.
With a world faced with increasing crisis of all kinds destabilizing our inner peace, I launched AURA-AURA to offer a space for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing. Reiki is a method of well-being developed in Japan in 1922. Its founder, Mikao Usui (1865-1926), a master of meditation, uncovered elements in ancient Tibetan Buddhist texts to develop his approach.
Stress, negative thoughts, or pent-up emotions can block the circulation of our vital energy. In the long run, this can affect our general health and well-being. A Reiki treatment affects both the body and the mind, which brings a holistic and long-lasting solution. This practice provides a deep feeling of well-being, calms emotions and helps the individual to regain harmony and vitality.
The benefits brought by Reiki apply to a number of emotional and physical issues such as stress, fatigue, sleep disorders, muscular tension, pain, migraines, obsessive thinking, anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction issues, depressed mood, difficult life events, end-of-life care and grief.
Reiki is a simple method that is today being offered as a complementary approach at institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Yale School of Medicine, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and McGill University Health Center where in 2021 a group session was offered to cancer patients and their caregivers.
Traditional Reiki consists of bringing the individual into a deep state of meditative relaxation through touch. By laying hands on specific areas on the body, the practitioner unblocks emotional blocks, eliminates used energy and harmonizes chakras which are the junction points of the meridians, our energy pathways. This combination of a precise therapeutic touch and a meditation practice alleviates physical and psychological tensions, encouraging the physical and mental balance.
Even if it significantly improves one's general well-being, Reiki is a complementary holistic and energetic practice to conventional medicine. In no case is it to be a medical treatment or a substitute to treat a disease such as cancer or any other medical condition.
One must always seek the advice of a medical professional for anything relating to their health, especially questions regarding symptoms requiring a medical diagnosis. A competent Reiki practitioner will never diagnose nor will they suggest to disrupt an ongoing medical treatment.
The session lasts approximately an hour and a half, starting with a 10 minutes consultation to clarify your needs and to customize your session.
The assessment is then followed by the Reiki treatment lasting approximately 45 minutes.
During the session, you will lie down on a comfortable massage table. You will remain fully clothed except for your shoes. It's recommended to wear loose-fitting comfortable clothing. All you have to do is close your eyes and allow yourself to fall into a deep state of relaxation.
My role consists of laying my hands for several minutes on specific areas of your body that correspond to energetic centers. At the same time, I will be doing a specific Reiki meditation. By combining a light pressure and static touch with meditation, I allow you to achieve a deep state of relaxation and to free yourself from emotional burdens. Your body and mind will free themselves from any tension.
At the end, we will take a moment to discuss your experience during the session and I give you a few recommendations to improve your daily routine and your quality of life.
Most clients say they feel a heating or tingling sensation throughout their body. Others report seeing flashes of colour, visions or memories. Allow yourself to experience whatever happens without attaching too much meaning to it.
At the end of the session, you may feel relaxed, calm, energized or on the contrary, you may feel tired. It may take some time for your energy to stabilize.
Reiki sessions take place at my home, in Montreal, close to metro Frontenac or Préfontaine.
Sessions may also take place in business or office environments, as well as retirement and community centers.
All Reiki sessions must be booked in advance

Reiki provides a deep feeling of well-being, calms emotions and helps the individual to regain harmony and vitality.
This varies depending of your emotional state. Even if you feel benefits from your first Reiki session, it's recommended that you do 3 or 4 closely-spaced sessions. It is then recommended to book follow-up sessions at regular intervals with longer time spans in between them - 3 or 6 months - to receive lasting effects. Ultimately, you decide what's best for you.
You don't need to know how to meditate. All you have to do is lie down on the table. By laying my hands for several minutes on specific areas of your body with a light pressure and static touch while I will be doing a specific Reiki meditation, this will allow you to achieve a deep state of relaxation and to reconnect with yourself.
Some psychological conditions are incompatible with Reiki treatments (i.e. severe depression, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders and split personality disorder). In no case is it to be a medical treatment or a substitute to psychotherapy. One must always seek the advice of a medical professional for anything relating to their health, especially questions regarding symptoms requiring a medical diagnosis.
Reiki is not invasive and is considered safe. There are no known side effects.
